Sexy Smooth Wax is a professional hard wax that is designed to melt when heated. During the warmer months—especially June, July, and August—packages may be exposed to extremely high temperatures while traveling through shipping facilities, delivery trucks, or while sitting outside after delivery.
Because of these temperatures, your wax beads may occasionally soften and stick together during transit.
If Your Wax Arrives Stuck Together — Don’t Worry
The wax is still usable and this does not affect its performance once melted in your wax warmer.
If your wax has softened or formed into a solid piece during shipping, follow these simple steps:
- Keep the wax inside the sealed bag.
- Place the entire bag in your freezer for approximately 2 hours.
- Remove the bag while the wax is still very cold.
- Keeping the bag sealed, firmly drop the bag onto a hard floor or gently break the wax apart.
- The cold wax should become brittle and separate into smaller pieces that can easily be placed into your wax warmer.
Do not attempt to chisel or pry apart warm or softened wax. Freezing it first makes it significantly easier to separate.
Why Don’t We Ship It Refrigerated?
Preventing hard wax from softening in extreme summer temperatures would require refrigerated packaging, insulated temperature-controlled shipping, or similar specialty shipping methods. These options would substantially increase shipping costs for our customers.
Instead, we want customers to understand this possibility before purchasing and know exactly what to do if it occurs.
Our Summer Shipping Recommendation
During periods of extreme heat, we recommend tracking your package and bringing it indoors as soon as possible after delivery rather than allowing it to remain in a hot mailbox, parcel locker, porch, or other outdoor location.
If your wax arrives warm or stuck together, allow it to cool completely or use the freezer method above before opening the bag.

By ordering hard wax during periods of extreme heat, please understand that temporary softening or sticking caused by temperatures encountered during transit can occur.
The appearance of the wax may change during shipping, but once the wax is placed into your warmer and melted for use, it can be used normally.
